Successful kick-off meeting WTA Group overheating risk in the stock
From Thursday, May 11, 2023 to Friday, May 12, 2023, the kick-off meeting of the working group "Summer Thermal Insulation in Existing Buildings" for the WTA (Wissenschaftlich Technische Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Bauwerkserhaltung und Denkmalpflege e.V.) took place in Dresden at the CUBE. As a board, the WTA deals with the development of guidelines as well as the implementation of technical meetings on current topics in the field of building preservation and monument conservation. Members include numerous professional luminaries from academia, engineering practice, and construction practice. Interested parties are always welcome to become involved in the WTA, both in the new working group and in the many other groups.
The meeting of the working group "Summer Thermal Insulation in Existing Buildings" was attended, in addition to the IBK, by representatives of the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics (IBP), the Brandenburg Technical University Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU), the Leipzig University of Applied Sciences (HTWK), the Institute for Diagnostics and Conservation of Monuments in Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt e. V. (IDK) and various engineering firms and authorities ( (e.g. Taubert und Ruhe GmbH, Amstein-Walthert, GSB Experten, Landesdenkmalamt Baden-Württemberg,...) are participating.
The group is led by Dr. P. Freudenberg, supported by Dr. U. Ruisinger.
The venue for the meeting was the CUBE, the first German carbon concrete building, which is centrally located on the TU Dresden campus. The evening event was at the Carolaschlösschen Dresden.
