Our teaching programme focuses on exploration of the application of green technologies in building and urban design. Our seminars are conducted as series of seminars focusing on specific topics. From 2020 to 2022, our seminars have focused on the topic of "Intelligent Networked Work and Production". The seminar series was rounded off by an international joint seminar organised by four universities in Germany, Japan, Norway and China on the topic of "Towards the Digital Urban Era". Since WS2022/23 we have been working on the seminar series "Energy Self-Sufficient Tiny House".

Our research specializes in advancing green technologies that promote the use of materials free from Critical Raw Materials, enhance operational durability and adaptability, improve life-cycle performance, and elevate environmental quality and user affordability. We employ impact assessments as supporting tools for quantitative and qualitative testing and validation of our concepts. Computational simulations, including CFD simulation, building simulation, and network simulation, are combined with prototypes for concept and effectiveness testing to verify and optimize the application of green technologies.

The Green Technology in Building Group operates at the intersection of building and urban design, harnessing technological advancements, with a particular emphasis on material innovation and digitalisation. We do so through collaborative efforts that transcend disciplinary, sectoral, and geographical boundaries.
