Release of Volume 5: Childhood Stroke
The fifth volume of our ARCH4HEALTH Student Research Lab series, titled "Stroke in Children", has been published!
During the 2023|24 winter semester, 13 architecture students from the Chair of Social and Health Buildings and Design at the TU Dresden explored the architectural needs of children following a stroke.
As part of the ARCH4HEALTH Student Research Lab, the students worked on their own research projects and design tasks focused on current questions: How can the well-being of children recovering from a stroke be enhanced in hospital rooms? What architectural elements can encourage activity in affected children in kindergartens? And how can schools implement concepts that support concentration in these children? These and other questions are addressed in this volume. Building on their findings, the students developed initial ideas and concepts, which are presented in this book.
The volume is now available for free download on Qucosa.
