Future City Dresden Phase I und II
Phase I "Visioning"
In the first phase of the competition (2015-2016), Dresden's citizens developed a vision of the future for the "City of Dresden 2030+", which included over 70 individual visions. A "Visioning" series of 24 workshops was held for this purpose.
Phase II "Planning"
In the second phase (2017-2018), citizens developed 95 project ideas and 24 concepts for transformation experiments. A "Planning" series of 30 workshops was organised for this purpose.
Phase III "Implement"
In the third and current phase, 10 sub-projects are being implemented as transformation experiments and scientifically monitored. Important information can be found on the City of the Future Dresden website.
The WISSENSARCHITEKTUR - Laboratory of Knowledge Architecture is coordinating the project partners at TU Dresden and supporting the two municipal projects "Workplace of the Future" and "AGORA Dresden".
In the Workplace of the Future, new working environments for the administration of tomorrow are being trialled, with a special focus on the new administration building on Ferdinandplatz. The accompanying research focusses on possible room configurations and structures for working beyond the two-person office.
A permanent space for citizen participation is to be created at AGORA. The focus of the accompanying research is on digital tools and spatial requirements for functioning participation.
