Connected Urban Twins is one out of 73 selected Smart Cities model projects. The German Federal Government’s funding programme supports cities and municipalities in implementing the opportunities in terms of sustainable urban development provided by digitalisation.
Hamburg, Leipzig and Munich have already gained extensive experience with their own digitalisation and Smart City strategies. The cross-city partnership that the three cities are entering into with the CUT project is unique in Germany. The intensive knowledge transfer between the cities offers a great opportunity, one that The scientists of the Knowledge Architecture Lab (WA) at TU Dresden are important partners and impulse generators as creative initiators, idea generators and co-authors.
As a research group with an outstanding track record in smart city, urban data, and integrated urban development, Knowledge Architecture will specifically support the further development of the project with urban science expertise and innovative analysis and synthesis tools: Status acquisition and basics of replication and knowledge transfer processes. Preparation of the scientificand technical status ("documentation of knowledge activities") by means of variable data collection instruments, e.g. questionnaires. Analysis and evaluation of the status survey. Creation of a status quo database (for targeted use in knowledge transfer projects and replication activities. Explorative (further) development of knowledge transfer formats using technologies for multistakeholder participation and experimental use in selected model projects.
