Requirements |
Good knowledge in the design of structures including verifications, load assumptions, safety concept as well as builing material behavior. You should be able to do the structural calculation of steel, concrete or timber structures and should be interested in the behavoir of plastic materials e.g. interlayer foils. |

• Aspects of Facade Engineering
• Mechanical and physical principles of annealed and pre-stressed glass
• Safety concepts in the structural use of glass
• Glass design
• Numerical simulation of glass
• Numerical simulation of mechanical and adhesively bonded glass connections
• Glass design and numerical simulations
After having finished the module successfully students have in-depth knowledge on the structural use of glass, the safety concept and respective building regulations.
