The Institute for Construction Informatics is pleased to announce new literature. Among others, the book Architektur fertigen: konstruktiver Holzelementbau by Rinke und Krammer (2020) is now available.

Traditional timber construction has been increasingly overhauled by industrial manufacturing, and its characteristics, principles and possibilities have been significantly altered. In terms of a timber architecture of tomorrow, design and planning must be based on current manufacturing methods. In this way, it can be expressive, economical and sustainable.
The publication provides planning architects with design methods for contemporary, industrial timber construction. The focus is on an application-oriented communication of basic principles for planning practice. The central question is: Under what conditions and according to what rules is the modern timber construction ideally created?
