Abstract:
This thesis analyses the current state of sustainable construction practices. In this regard, the fundamentals of sustainability are presented in advance. Existing regulations, guidelines and funding concepts are then discussed. With regard to sustainable construction, measures to ensure ecological, economic and socio-cultural quality are explained and analysed in terms of the extent to which they are already being applied in Central Europe. This study focuses in particular on the factors that promote and inhibit the implementation of sustainable concepts. For this reason, stakeholders in the construction industry were surveyed in order to evaluate their knowledge of sustainable construction and their practical experience. Based on the findings, recommendations for action to promote sustainable construction methods are developed.
