26/03/31 - Ms. Verena Curoşu, Dipl.-Ing., successfully defends her doctoral thesis

On March 31, 2026, Dipl.-Ing. Verena Curoşu successfully defended her doctoral dissertation entitled:
"The extended phase-field method: A method to efficiently simulate crack propagation".

In addition to the chair of the doctoral committee, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Steffen Marx (TU Dresden), the reviewerd present were Prof. Dr.-Ing. Stefan Löhnert (TU Dresden), Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Sven Klinkel (RWTH Aachen), and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ralf Müller (Technical University of Darmstadt). Prof. Dr.-Ing. Birgit Beckmann (TU Dresden) was also present as a member of the doctoral committee.
