About the Institute
The group of Prof. Löhnert works in the field of continuum mechanical modelling, multiscale methods, computational fracture mechanics as well as the simulation of complex materials. Herin, both, static and dynamic behaviour is investigated.
A broad range of classes for engineering mechanics, continuum mechanics, micromechanics as well as shell structures and computational methods are offered.
Structure of the Institute
The Institute of Mechanics and Shell Structures affiliates into the Department of Civil Engineering (School of Civil and Environmental Engineering) at TU Dresden. It is lead by Prof. Dr.-Ing.
