Cooperations
At the Institute of Mechanics and Shell Structures many projects in cooperation with institutions of TU Dresden, other universities, non-university research facilities, and industrial partners are conducted. Cooperations do not only exist with partners from the engineering sciences, but also from different disciplines such as mathematics, medicine, biology, materials science or computer science.
New Cooperations?
We are open to new partners from university and non-university research and the industry. For requests regarding cooperations, research contracts, and reviews please directly contact Prof. Stefan Löhnert.
Students of TU Dresden, who are interested in studying abroad, are offered assistance in the planning and placing possible host institutions.
External graduate students and Postdocs find a stimulating environment and suitable infrastructure for their dissertation or projects in the field of computational mechanics to advance their further qualifications. For personal funding there are several options:
- Anounced positions
- Own financing through external funding or scholarships
- Scholarships, which may be requested in collaboration with the chair.
Funding: The Institute of Mechanics and Shell Structures offers assistance in the acquisition of suitable funding, e.g. in the choice of an appropriate subject or scholarship program or the creation of an application for the acquisition of scholarships.
