A08 - Wireless communication systems for the data transmission of integrated sensors in future road sys-tems

TP A08 investigates wireless communication systems to transmit data collected by sensors, which are integrated into the road, to road-side units. Concerning this, materials used in road construction are systematically characterized regarding their dielectric material parameters and based on this, channel models are introduced. Moreover, innovative antenna designs for systems integrated into the road are analyzed and characterized. In order to enable energy self-sufficient systems, piezo-electric modules developed in TP A03 will be used. Furthermore, for receiving the transmitted data in the road-side units, adaptive and energy-efficient receivers are investigated.
