The HOCH-N work package Operations has published the guidelines for sustainable university operations. The operation work package is part of the HOCH-N network and publishes one of six HOCH-N guidelines. The work package is managed by Technische Universität Dreden (Prof. Edeltraud Günther) and the University of Applied Sciences Zittau Görlitz (Prof. Bernd Delakowitz).

The beta version of the guidelines "Sustainability in higher education" was published in 2018. Since then, the guide has been continuously revised and further developed. The work package team examined the company's central value-added stages with regard to their importance for the implementation of sustainability. The Guide 2022 now enables the results of this work to be presented to an international audience. In addition, the guide should offer a low-threshold entry and, together with the digital HOCH-N Wiki, address the transformation to a sustainable university in a holistic approach.
