Your perspective counts - participants wanted for interview study on experiences of discrimination at TU Dresden
TU Dresden is committed to a non-discriminatory and equitable working environment. As part of a mixed-method study initiated by the Complaints Office in the event of incidents of harassment, discrimination and violence, interview partners are currently being sought for a qualitative sub-study.
The study is aimed at academic staff at TU Dresden - including Student Assistants and Research Assistants, doctoral students, postdocs, habilitation candidates and professors - who have experienced discrimination at the university and whose parents or guardians did not study themselves and/or migrated to Germany.
The aim of the interviews is to document the personal perspectives of people with a history of migration or from the first generation of students. The focus is on experiences in everyday university life, the experience of discrimination and the identification of structural obstacles. The insights gained are intended to contribute to the long-term development of concrete measures to improve equal opportunities at TU Dresden.
The interviews were conducted by Nathalie Puschmann and Leonie Apelt as part of their Master's thesis. The interviews take place in a confidential setting, last around 60 to 90 minutes and can be conducted online or in person if desired. Participation is also possible in English. All information will be treated anonymously and in strict confidence.
If you are interested in participating or would like to ask questions about the study, please contact the project managers by e-mail: DiskriminierungserlebenTUD@tu-dresden.de
