Examination Committee for the M.Sc. in Spatial Development and Natural Resource Management
Extension of Thesis Deadlines
Note on Extending the Time Allotted for Completing a Thesis
§28 of the MPO: “In individual cases, the Examination Committee may, upon a justified request, exceptionally extend the completion period by a maximum of 12 weeks.”
To do so, a request for an extension must be submitted to the Examination Office. The supervising faculty member must approve the request for an extension with a stamp and signature.
Decision (policy decision) of the RuN-Master Examination Committee dated May 22, 2023:
Citing exclusively personal reasons for requesting an extension of the completion period for theses is not sufficient. The Examination Committee agrees that the staff of the responsible Examination Office may reject such requests as inadmissible.
Extension in Case of Illness:
To have sick days recognized for your thesis, please submit the original medical certificate (forms) and the notification for recognition of sick days to the Examination Office immediately. Certificates of incapacity for work (yellow slip) are not accepted.
Submission of Theses
Note on Submitting the Thesis
(The master’s thesis must be submitted by the deadline in two bound copies and on a data storage device (USB drive or CD) to the Examination Office of the Earth Sciences to have the deadline stamp applied (§ 21 (6) MPO).
Currently, a submission appointment must be scheduled before submitting the thesis.
Outside the Examination Office’s hours of operation or to meet deadlines, you may use the deadline drop box on Helmholtzstraße (between the Tillich Building and the Hülße Building).

Programmcodes, grafische Darstellungen), in denen z.B.
