Student assistants (SHK/FHK; m/w/d) wanted!
At least four positions are available at the Chair for Geoinformatics, TU Dresden. NFDI4Earth (https://www.nfdi4earth.de/) is a five-year project funded by the German Research Foundation. It contributes methods and tools to facilitate digital research data management in the Earth System Sciences.
Do you have a background or strong interest in one or more of the following areas?
- Basic experience in one general purpose programming language (e.g., Python, R, Java)
- Web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- UX Design (user-centered design, participatory design)
- Semantic Web (RDF, OWL, SPARQL, SHACL)
- Containerization (Docker)
Are you interested in improving your skills in creating software, in getting to know high-quality research from the inside, and in building infrastructure that helps us to solve big societal challenges?
Then we want you as part of the NFDI4Earth team! You will be working in a team of several student assistants and three post-docs at the Chair of Geoinformatics. The workload will be eight (8) hours per week. German language skills are considered an asset, but not required.
