TU Dresden expertise at the UN Climate Change Conference
At the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow the Armenian delegation can rely on valuable expertise gained at the Centre for International Postgraduate Studies of Environmental Management (CIPSEM). Among the members of the delegation, there are three alumni of this successful programme, running for over 44 years at TU Dresden.
Frau Hasmik Bersaghyan (7th from left): President of the European Youth Parliament for Water, Future Energy Leader in the World Energy Council and member of the International Secretariat for Water; CIPSEM Alumna "Environmental Management", 2019
Frau Nune Sakanyan (4th from right): Founding member and president of Women in Climate and Energy (WiCE); CIPSEM Alumna "Environmental Management", 2020
Herr Erik Grigoryan (1st from right): former Minister for the Environment and consultant in different international institutions (e.g. UN ESCAP, Asian Development Bank); CIPSEM Alumnus "Environmental Management", 2007
This example shows the success and impact of this interdisciplinary, postgraduate programme, which is funded by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), the Federal Environment Agency (UBA) and TU Dresden and supported by UNEP and UNESCO.
