Terrestrial DOC inputs to surface waters of forested watersheds

The Landesamt für Umwelt, Landwirtschaft und Geologie and the Instiute of Soil Science and Site Ecology of the TU Dresden invite you to a workshop on May 31, 2023 in Tharandt to discuss the causes, processes, and consequences of increasing concentrations of dissolved organic carbon (DOC) in drinking water reservoirs in Saxony.
Research in the catchment area of the Sosa reservoir will be the focus, and contributions from scientists will be placed in the European context. The causes and influencing factors of these processes are not yet sufficiently known, which is why TU Dresden has been conducting the research and development project "Source strength of DOC exports from soils" since 2019, and the Technical University of Freiberg has been conducting accompanying research on water and DOC transport since 2021.
Interested parties can participate in an excursion to the measuring stations in the investigation area at the Sosa reservoir the following day.
