You can look forward to exciting lectures, practical discussions and insights into the latest research results from two research projects(BENEATH and WAIKLIM). Whether in the lecture hall or directly in the forest - together we will shape the future of our forests.

The focus is on the following questions:

• What role does deadwood play in the resilience of forests to drought and in carbon storage?
• How does climate change influence the water balance of beech forests and what effects can be expected for carbon storage?
• How can we convert our forests to make them fit for climate change?
• What options are there in the transition phase to maintain and promote the stability of old-growth stands and the vitality of pre-plantations in equal measure?
