Diversity on Campus Tharandt - When diversity wins, we all win
Employees and students
As Pride Month begins today, the international month dedicated to the struggle of queer people for equality and recognition, we would like to make it clear: the Department of Forest Sciences at TU Dresden stands for a diverse society free from exclusion. We take a clear stand against all forms of discrimination, whether based on sexual identity, gender, health, ethnic or social background, worldview, or age.
We are aware that discriminatory behavior also occurs on our campus, which often goes unnoticed because incidents are not reported due to shame or fear of repression. If you are personally affected or observe discriminatory behavior, you can always contact a trusted faculty member on campus or report the incidents anonymously to the university-wide Complaints Office in cases of Discrimination, arassment, Violence. Further support for those affected is available through TUD’s internal and external counseling services .
We in the Department of Forest Sciences are actively committed to fostering a respectful and fair environment. We actively strive to break down structural exclusion and institutional barriers and want everyone to be able to freely realize their individual potential. Only by fostering an inclusive atmosphere at our university can we enable active participation in campus life, where we learn from one another and grow together. We also aim to carry these values beyond the university into society.
