Excursions

The Chair of Forest Zoology offers various excursions for students of forest science. The dates and more detailed information will be announced at the beginning of the summer semester. Registration is required!

Bat Excursion
After a brief introduction to bat biology and ecology we follow and determine different bats in the vicinity of the Tharandt Campus with the help of bat detectors.

Bird Call Excursion

During a walk around Tharandt - the slopes surrounding Weißeritz, the forest garden and the Schlossteich-pond - the students learn to recognize the calls of different bird species in the wild.

Invertebrate excursions (for participants of the FOBF04 bachelor module)

The students have the opportunity to catch and determine various insects and other invertebrates on the Tharandt campus.
