Robinienholz: links fluoreszierend unter Schwarzlicht, rechts bei Tageslicht
The Institute of Plant and Wood Chemistry presented interesting facts from chemical composition of plants and the utilisation of individual ingredients during the long Night of Science 2016 at the ZINT. Different utilisation cascades of cellulose, hemicelluloses, lignin and extractives were demonstrated starting with the pulping of the plant materials. Visitors could win a fluorescent key fob of robinia wood on quiz.
