Research fields

Our work and interests cover a wide spectrum of  on-going research and  past research projects. These can be grouped into three major research fields:

• Phytodiversity

Ecology and community of plants, ecology of threatened plant species, vegetation dynamics in the perspective of global change.

• Functional diversity

Interactions between species, key species, experimental biodiversity research at micro- and landscape scale.

• Nature conservation strategies

Management of protected areas, current challenges in national parks and other large-scale protected areas, ecology and management of alien species.
