Position paper of the Chair of Forest Protection for the 2019 National Forest Summit

Due to the current forest situation in Germany many forest owners do not only face massive financial problems but also the difficult decision on how to reforest the deforested areas and how to manage forests in future to make them more resilient. The background of the current situation and possible measures were already presented in a position paper by the German Association of Forest Research Institutions on September 09, 2019. The  document of the Chair of Forest Protection adds further aspects to this initial position paper or broadens those aspects that are of special importance for forest health.
