Excursion to Thuringia with international exchange

From 2-4 July, a group of 43 forestry students and teachers, half from TU Dresden and half from Wageningen University (the Netherlands), held an excursion on 'Beech under climate change' in Thuringia. Besides visiting the national park Hainich and the forest district Hainich-Werratal, the Eddy-Covariance tower Leinefelde as well as the sawmill and laminated veneer lumber company Pollmeier were visited. The excursion was financially supported by the Eva Mayr-Stihl Foundation, for which we are very grateful. We also wish to thank all referees that made the excursion a great success!
