Financial support for excursion with German and Dutch students

The Eva Mayr-Stihl Foundation funds a 3-day excursion on 'European beech and climate change' to Thuringia. In the excursion, 40 B.Sc. forestry students from TU Dresden and Wageningen University & Research (the Netherlands) will participate. During visits to the National Park Hainich, the forest district Hainich-Werratal and the veneer and sawmill Pollmeier, the future of beech as well as impacts of the currently observed beech dieback will be discussed.
The excursion is organized by our Chair in cooperation with colleagues at Wageningen University.
