Guest Researcher Marcel Loyd Minka

We are happy to welcome Mr. Marcel Loyd Minka of the Department of Animal, Nutrition and Food Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Italy as a guest researcher at our chair. Loyd will stay from August 2023 till January 2024. In his PhD, Loyd focusses on the documentation of farm limits and the resolution of land conflicts amongst farmers through the structuring of farm boundaries by applying a participatory mapping approach which combines UAV image analysis with the geo-positioning signals received from the Catalyst DA2 GNSS. These documentations of farm limits and resolution of land conflicts will help to support the Cadastral Information Systems (CIS) and improve the farming activities of maize and cocoa farmers in Mbalmayo – Cameroon.
