Abstract
The diploma thesis at hand is to show how geo information services are to be designed within a geo data infrastructure and to present an overview of the technologies and standards, using the example of the collection and visualisation for the communal administration of retail sales objects in the Chamber of Industry and Commerce district of Dresden. At the same time, a prototype of a web application was developed as an efficient means for data collection and administration and its presentation, along with enquiry and analysis tools.
The basic data was taken from a 2006 survey of all retail facilities within the Chamber district of Dresden. The data management and migration was realized through an Oracle database. Aided by an HTTP server (application server OAS 10.1.2.0.2), technical data can be requested from it and visualized under one interface in a web browser, using a UMN MapServer and standardized geo services, together with components of the map client Sachsenatlas.
Furthermore, components were created for re-identifying the spatial position of newly registered objects through the address (georeferencing), for displaying already registered objects, for creating filter results as well as for requesting spatially oriented technical data. During the development it was observed that the access to the data was to be ensured for different users with different rights and that it could be administered properly.
Finally, application fields are presented and the proficiency level as well as the quality of the proposed solution are discussed on the basis of analyses regarding user acceptance.
