Further development of tools and knowledge platform for climate-conform action in low mountain regions (Subproject)

The aim of the joint project, in which 8 institutions are involved, is the further development of the knowledge platform "KlimaKonform", which is to serve as decision support for regions and municipalities in adapting to climate change. The Chair of Land Management participates in particular in the area of "Integrated Assessment".
Further development of the prototype for resilience assessment
The goal is the transfer, application and verification of the prototypical tool to other low mountain ranges in the study area. The prototype will be further developed step by step by gaining new knowledge through its application in different spatial locations. In addition, the individual weights and parameters of the multi-criteria assessment will be questioned through expert discussions with municipal stakeholders, adjusted if necessary, and new indicators integrated.
Implementation of the resilience assessment tool in WebGIS
The resilience assessment tool will be implemented from ArcGIS into a freely accessible WebGIS to allow the tool to be used independently of platform and software. This will serve to make the tool available beyond the life of the project. The range of possible adaptation measures is shown via fact sheets that are more differentiated in terms of content. This will create greater transparency on measures in the context of climate adaptation and at the same time increase the willingness to use the tool.
Acceptance analysis of the resilience assessment tool
Through an acceptance analysis, the degree of acceptance as well as the factors that influence the acceptance of municipal representatives will be surveyed and the tool for resilience assessment will be adapted as needed. For this purpose, the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) of Davis (1989) will be used, which focuses on the trade-off between effort and benefit as the basic acceptance decision of potential users. The results will also be used to develop e-learning offers that serve to increase acceptance and thus the dissemination of the tool.
