This page lists all current research projects at our Junior Professorship.
RIVERWISE - AI-based change detection of river banks, bank structures and surrounding water environments in Saxony for monitoring according to the Water Framework Directive
RivMon - Development of a camera- and AI-based risk assessment for hazard detection and defense against heavy rainfall events for local watercourse sections
AI4CycleMaps - Automatic mapping of cycling infrastructure using deep learning
SFB/TRR 408 (AgiMo): Data-driven agile planning for responsible mobility
Subproject: A03 - New data on road design and road user activities for innovative safety assessment methods
ValiGrün: Validation of the climate adaptation potential and optimization of the functions of blue-green infrastructures in urban areas - By measuring and validating representative parameters, the climate adaptation of building greenery (roofs and facades) is to be made measurable in order to derive recommendations for action and optimization.
ÖSL-NRW: Based on performance points for selected ecosystem services, a remuneration system is being developed for the forests of the state of NRW, which takes into account the complex service profile of the forest. UAV-supported information acquisition provides an assessment of given ecosystem services.
TransForMon: Analysis of forest development in Bohemian/Saxon Switzerland using remote sensing and the implementation of a cross-border, freely accessible information system on the historical development and current state of the forest as well as a portal for the joint use of forest data by the national park authorities.
MPSC water structures: Development of an open-source tool for the automated detection of vegetation on land surfaces from 3D point clouds for use on the edges of small water bodies and support for the introduction of a measurement system for the detection of flooding in public spaces.
AI4Glaciers: Development of an innovative approach to combine multimodal SfM-MVS with artificial intelligence algorithms and multi-sensor data to achieve 4D monitoring (3D + time) of the glacier calf with unprecedented spatial and temporal resolution.
SFB/TRR 280: Construction strategies for material-minimized carbon concrete structures: Foundations for a new way of building
GRK2947 "AirMetro": Technical-operational integration of highly automated aviation in metropolitan areas
