Image analysis methods in the context of automated driving - Faculty colloquium on February 2.
Photogrammetry (also called image measurement) in connection with automated driving is the focus of the closing event of the first faculty colloquium of the Faculty of Transportation Sciences "Friedrich List". The aim is to extract reliable and accurate three-dimensional information from image data. This involves the use of image analysis methods to automate measurement tasks and stochastic methods to optimize solutions.
"The reliability of image analysis methods plays a very special role in the context of automated driving. In this context, current developments in the field of solid state lidar are also of particular interest," says Prof. Dr. Hans-Gerd Maas from the Institute of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing at TU Dresden.
In his keynote speech, he will highlight the three aspects of sensor technology, accuracy and reliability in the field of vision metrology in the context of automated driving and show inherent potentials.
