Awarded article

The International Association of Geodesy (IAG) has presented the Young Author's Award 2022 to Matthias Willen for the article "Willen, M.O., Horwath, M., Groh, A. et al. Feasibility of a global inversion for spatially resolved glacial isostatic adjustment and ice sheet mass changes proven in simulation experiments." which was published last year in Journal of Geodesy. This article was written in the course of Matthias Willen's dissertation at the Chair of Geodetic Earth System Research, which he successfully defended in February 2023.

The award was presented at the IAG opening ceremony during the General Assembly of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG), which took place in Berlin in July 2023. The aim of the prize is to draw attention to important contributions by young scientists in the Journal of Geodesy and to foster excellent scientific work.
