Additional information about GVI:
GVI offers award-winning international programs that enable students to gain hands-on experience in the sustainability and conservation sectors. Students can travel abroad to contribute to ethical and locally led conservation projects in some of the world’s most vulnerable habitats. All programs are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and we work in collaboration with respected local organizations and global partners such as WWF and PADI.
Program Areas
Our programs focus on practical conservation experience, including marine and wildlife conservation, endangered species protection, and ecological research - providing students studying sciences with the experience they need to pursue or advance careers in environmental and biological fields.
Students can choose from the following program types:
Volunteering: 2–12 weeks
Internships: 2–12 weeks
Research fellowships: 4–24 weeks
Professional apprenticeships: 6 months
Destinations
GVI has permanent research stations on five continents, with opportunities in: Thailand, Cambodia, South Africa, Madagascar, Ghana, Costa Rica, Fiji, Canary Islands, Greece, Mexico, and Nepal. Program durations range from 1–24 weeks depending on the student’s goals and program type.

As mentioned, we currently have scholarship funding available that can reduce program fees by up to 80%, and we’d love to promote these opportunities to your students.
