A sensitive and robust LC-MS/MS method was developed and validated allowing for the quantification of 9 BPs and the transformation product 4-hydroxybenzophenone (4-OH-BP) in water samples at trace levels without prior enrichment. The method presented here proved suitable for BP monitoring campaigns across different environmental water samples, e.g. river water, bank filtrate, groundwater and WWTP influents and effluents.
