2nd annual conference in the "KijaniBox" project from October 27-29, 2025 in Dresden and Pirna
KijaniBox is an innovative project designed to accelerate Africa's green transition and provide sustainable energy access to small businesses in the food supply chain. By converting organic waste into green energy for refrigeration and cooling, the project aims to reduce food loss and health risks.
Key topics at this year's meeting were:
Sustainable design of the green transition solution.
Development of application solution boxes.
Development of an advanced supervisory platform for smart management.
The system manufacturing in African assembly sites.
Demonstration, pilot validation and Life-Cycle Assessment.
Take-up strategy of the solution.

On the second day of the event, participants were able to visit a biogas plant in the Dresden area.
