Anna Jurado is the newest INOWAS member

The newest INOWAS member is Anna Jurado, a postdoctoral researcher originating from Barcelona, Spain. She studied Geology at the University of Barcelona (2005), and the 40^th International Course of Groundwater Hydrology at the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC, 2006). She finished her PhD entitled "Occurrence and fate of emerging organic contaminants in groundwater. A case study: Barcelona" in 2013 at the UPC. Afterwards, she was a Marie Curie postdoctoral fellow at the Hydrogeology and Environmental Geology group at the University of Liège (Belgium) and her research topic is the groundwater contribution to greenhouse gas emissions from rivers. Currently, she is a postdoctoral researcher at INOWAS within the Open Topic Postdoc Positions (OTPP) program of Technische Universität Dresden (TUD), which is part of the TUD’s Institutional Strategy and funded by the Excellence Initiative of the German Federal and State Governments. Within INOWAS, Anna will focus her research on investigating the fate of emerging organic contaminants during managed aquifer recharge (MAR). She is particularly interested in investigating the degradation processes and identifying the most suitable conditions that enhanced the removal of pharmaceutical active compounds during MAR at a laboratory and field scales.
