IAK at the symposium for the DBU Environmental Award Ceremony on October 25, 2025

On Saturday, October 25, 2025, a symposium on the topic of "Circular Economy: Better management and living in cycles" was held in Chemnitz, Europe's current Capital of Culture, as part of the presentation of this year's environmental awards by the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU).

In addition to our Institute Director Prof. Dr. Christina Dornack, Dr. Claas Oehlmann, Managing Director BDI Circular Economy Initiative, Christian Schiller, Founder & CEO, cirplus GmbH, Anja Siegesmund, Managing President BDE and Dr. Martin Vogt, VDI Technology Center discussed this key strategy for the protection of climate and biodiversity, which takes a holistic view of the circular economy from product design and waste avoidance to repair and recycling.
