Topic for bachelor thesis: Waste profile - production building waste streams
offered by the company Roche Diagnostics GmbH, Environmental Protection, 68305 Mannheim
The current waste management at the Mannheim site has a linear structure. We currently have a reference book available at the Mannheim site. This should help us to facilitate waste separation for the processing companies. We have provided the "Waste ABC" reference work. Detailed waste information, definitions, internal company designations, collection systems, forms of packaging and internal disposal options for the Mannheim site can be found in the "Abfall-ABC" reference work. In order to improve further transparency at the site, a waste profile for each site building would be desirable. In order to optimize the existing value chain, the degree of graduation of the waste streams per building should be established.
It would therefore be helpful to clarify the resulting waste streams directly with the waste producer. To this end, it would be necessary to evaluate the waste value streams at the production and filling lines in the manufacturing trades. This would help us to intervene in the waste stream at an early stage in order to identify wasted resources or new approaches to waste prevention. At the end of the day, this approach would help us to better narrow down recycling or reuse options. These new building blocks will then be used in the value chain to identify new approaches for the introduction of possible circular recycling management at the Mannheim site.
