Farewell: Dr. Marta Markiewicz Leaves Our Institute
Marta Markiewicz with her predecessor, Prof. Harald Horn, at KIT
After more than 8 years at the Institute of Water Chemistry, we are saying goodbye to Dr. Marta Markiewicz, head of our early-career researchers’ group, the “Contaminant Science Group”. Through her work, Dr. Markiewicz has had a decisive influence on our research and made valuable contributions. We would like to thank her from the bottom of our hearts for her outstanding collaboration and our many shared successes. It’s not easy for us to say goodbye—but at the same time, we are very proud of her next career move: Dr. Markiewicz will take up a position as a professor at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and assume the directorship of the Engler-Bunte Institute. We wish her all the best and much success in this exciting new role—goodbye, Marta, and all the best in Karlsruhe!
