Guest scientists

From August to early September, two Vietnamese scientists, Dr. Nguyen Minh Tan (Hanoi University of Science and Technology) and Dr. Nguyen Thi ThuTrang (Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology), visited the Institute of Water Chemistry. Both guest scientists investigated the degradation behavior of selected organic pollutants, which are not or only insufficiently removed after a previous treatment by means of a biomembrane reactor, with different oxidation processes within the framework of the joint international AiF project "DeGrey". The experiments were initially carried out with model waters and will be continued in Vietnam using real wastewater.
