New PhD Student
Kristin Schmidt
We are pleased to welcome our new PhD student, Kristin Schmidt.
Kristin studied Chemical Engineering at HTW Dresden and joined IWC in January 2025 as part of the "BSBOnline" project. Her research focuses on the development of microbial sensors based on microbial fuel cell technology. The goal of her work is the online determination of biological oxygen demand and dissolved oxygen concentration in wastewater.
We wish Kristin a great start and much success in her research!
