New PhD Student

We are pleased to welcome our new PhD student, Zippel Rene!

Rene joined IWC in April 2025, and his research focuses on the removal of organic micropollutants mediated by microalgae, including the biological processes involved.

The aim of his work is to gain a better understanding of these processes and to predict structure–activity relationships.

We wish Rene a great start and much success in his research journey!
