Project meeting in India

In February and March 2023, Prof. Stolte and Dr. Börnick were in India together with colleagues from HTW Dresden to fulfill various project tasks within the BMBF joint project CONNECT-CCRBF. The goal of the project is the expansion of the Indo-German Competence Center for Bank Filtration. Activities included water sampling, several project consultations and a total of six lectures at demonstration sites of the project in Coimbatore, Chennai, Goa, Guwahati and Kokrajhar in India. In Chennai, the focus is on seasonal infiltration of rainwater and surface water to prevent salinization of coastal groundwater resources. The TU Dresden reported on the analysis and current assessment of PFAS in water and results of further, comparative trace substance investigations in India and Germany.
