Seminar: "Grundlagen der Hydrochemie"
Course: | Seminar "Grundlagen der Hydrochemie" |
Lecturer: | Dr. Heike Brückner, Dr. Stephan Beil, Dr. Linda Schuster |
Semester: | Summer term |
Lecture/exercise/practical (SWS): | 0/2/0 (weekly course) |
Modules: | UW-BHW-208 |
Prerequisites: | basic knowledge of chemistry |
Exam: | digital attendance exam |
Brief description:
The course teaches basic hydrochemical calculations to accompany the lecture Grundlagen der Hydrochemie and serves in particular as preparation for the digital attendance exam for the module UW-BHW-208: "Grundlagen der Hydrochemie".
Contents:
The seminar is accompanied by interactive calculation tasks in the OPAL course, which allow students to choose the intensity of the exercises themselves depending on the subject area. In the face-to-face seminars, general solution strategies are presented and selected problems are calculated together in order to be able to deal with difficult aspects of the calculation methods. The following topics are covered:
- stoichiometric calculations / concentration calculations
- colligative properties
- Gas-water distribution equilibria
- acid-base equilibria
- Dissolution and precipitation of salts
- coupled equilibria / lime-carbonic acid equilibrium
- Redox equilibria
