Lecture Wasserinhaltsstoffe II
Course: | Lecture Wasserinhaltsstoffe II |
Lecturer(s): | Dr. Hilmar Börnick |
Language: | German |
Semester: | Winter term |
Lecture/exercise/practical (SWS): | 2/0/0 (weekly course) |
Modules: | UW-BHW-318, Chem-Ma-B05, MW-VNT-126 |
Prerequisites: | basic knowledge of chemistry |
Brief description:
The course provides an understanding of basic concepts and dependencies on the input of substances into the hydrosphere. In particular, the origin of water constituents (anthropogenic/natural sources), their classification and evaluation (natural water constituents/pollutants) as a result of their chemical-physical properties and their toxicological effects (human/ecotoxicity) are dealt with in the course. In addition, special methods in water treatment to fulfill the corresponding limit values (German Drinking Water Ordinance) are presented.
Contents:
Classification and evaluation of water constituents, cations, anions, dissolved gases, heavy metals, radionuclides, natural organic water constituents, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, phenols, halogenated hydrocarbons, organonitrogen and organosulphur compounds, pesticides, complexing agents, surfactants, active pharmaceutical ingredients, disinfection by-products.
