HydMod Workshop 2024 at the TU Dresden
From September 16th to 19th, PhD students from the Institute of Groundwater Management and the Chair of Hydrology organized and hosted the Workshop on Hydrological Modelling (HydMod) at TU Dresden. This annual event of the German Hydrological Society (DHG), designed by PhD students for PhD students, offered participants the opportunity to present their research, engage in discussions, and connect with peers.
The workshop featured presentations by all participants, along with lectures from the two keynote speakers Andreas Hartmann from the Institute of Groundwater Management and Larisa Tarasova from UFZ. An interactive session on model benchmarking held by Wouter Knoben from the University of Calgary provided hands-on learning, while a day trip to Saxon Switzerland allowed for informal networking in a scenic setting.
The HydMod Workshop continues to serve as a platform for PhD students to exchange ideas, discuss their research and collaborate across disciplines.
