Water spaying system in the inner courtyard of the chemistry building

As part of the research project " Cooling potential of water-based spraying systems", spraying systems were put into operation in the inner courtyard of the chemistry building and in the MTZ of the university hospital. From an outside temperature of 28 °C, the systems spray water with diffrent variations for cooling purposes. Passers-by in the inner courtyard are invited to take part in a survey to optimize the systems (QR code on site).

At the same time, since the end of June 2025, a climate station and several individual sensors distributed throughout the courtyard have been used to determine the meteorological data accompanying the spraying effect (radiation, wind, temperature, humidity).
