Dr. Sławomir Sitek conducted a three-month research visit with the INOWAS group

Dr. Sławomir Sitek visited the research group INOWAS between 5 September - 20 November 2022. Dr. Sitek is Assistant Professor at the Institute of Earth Sciences, Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Silesia in Katowice. His professional background is on hydrogeology and he recently collaborated in DEEPWATER-CE, an international research project on managed aquifer recharge (MAR) in Central Europe. The main scope of Dr. Sitek's visit in Dresden was to explore oportunities for collaboration with the INOWAS group at the Institute for Groundwater Management. During his stay, Dr. Sitek used the INOWAS platform to develop a numerical groundwater flow model that can be used for optimisation and safe operation of a MAR scheme Tarnow city, Poland. We are grateful for Dr. Sitek's visit and look very froward to more collaboration opportunities in the future.
