INOWAS attended the kick-off meeting "Junior Research Groups Global Change 4+1"

On 20-21 January 2015 all BMBF-funded Junior Research Groups “Global Change 4+1″ met for the kick-off meeting in Bonn. The Project Agency DLR invited also Mrs. Vera Stercken from BMBF and Prof. Klaus Eisenack from University of Oldenburg, who was leader of a Junior Research Group in the past. So it was a great opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with different people about various aspects on global change. As all project leaders gave a short presentation about their projects, we were informed about the research done and to be done in several fields like politics and society, ecology, climate research, land use, greenhouses gas / nutrient fluxes and water management. New contacts were established so that synergetic effects by combining the work of several research groups could be achieved. Beyond that, sometimes one could get a glimpse on the personal story of one of the participants that makes you looking forward to the next meeting in two years.
