Assessing the holistic value of managed aquifer and its effect on ecosystem services
On 23 September 2021, Catalin Zapata Barra successfully defended her M.Sc. thesis within the Joint Master Degree Programme on Groundwater and Global Change - Impacts and Adaptation (acronym GroundwatCh). Catalina's research focused on the holistic value of managed aquifer recharge, specifically on assessing its influence on the environment, as well as identifying synergies and trade-offs triggered by the interraction among ecosystem services.
